about
“Frosty” is a brand new single from genre-defying singer, songwriter and producer Jonah Tolchin. “Frosty” is a reflection upon waking up without your loved one next to you and the lengths you would go to just to have them back.
Born and raised in central New Jersey, Tolchin began his career as a DIY artist, hitting the road as a teenager and self-releasing his own music until signing with Yep Roc for his critically acclaimed albums Clover Lane, Thousand Mile Night and Fires for the Cold. Along the way, Tolchin toured the US and Europe extensively, sharing bills with the likes Mandolin Orange, Chuck Prophet, Gregg Allman, Chris Smither, Dave and Phil Alvin, and Tony Joe White.
lyrics
I woke up on a cold, cold night
The windows were frosty
I wondered how much will this love, will it cost me
But I knew I’d pay the price
I’d make any sacrifice
Just to lay there with you
When it gets frosty
It feels so natural to me
You put me at ease
Like a cool summer breeze
You bring me to my knees
And, baby, I don’t wanna know
What life feels like without you in mine
In mine, in mine
And, baby, I don’t wanna go
Anywhere without you by my side
My side, my side
I know we can get insecure
‘Cause we’ve been hurt before
But I love you more and more
That I know you
And, baby, you’re my best friend
I wanna be with you until the end
Yes I, oh I, I do
Baby, I don’t wanna know
What life feels like without you in mine
In mine, in mine
And, baby, I don’t wanna go
Anywhere without you by my side
My side, my side
Baby, I don’t wanna know
What life feels like without you in mine
In mine, in mine
And, baby, I don’t wanna go
Anywhere without you by my side
My side, my side

One of the best records my ears have ever beheld. Lucas is a dear friend of mine and his genius is not easily comparable. Do yourself a favor and check this out, it's worth at least $22. Jonah Tolchin

The instrumentation and songwriting in this album is really top-tier. Aofie is one of my favorite folk/alt-country artists and she performs wonderfully, bringing her unique tone of voice to this project. This album was my first step into Aofie's artistry, and is firmly one of my favorite albums. rileyridgway

Cerebral palsy curbed his ability to play guitar the conventional way, so Nagoda learned double slide, this is his debut LP.
